William H Vance is my gggrandfather. He was from Tazewell Co. Va. He was in Ky 10th Calvary Diamonds Brigade, know as the 'yankee chasers.' He was captured in Mt Sterling Ky. and sent to Camp Morton prison and died there Dec 22, 1864. He is buried in the Confederate Mound in the Crown Hill cemetary in Indianapolis IN. along with more the 1600 who died while POW's
