Pvt. T.J. Williamson enlisted in 1862 in Woodford Co, Ky and rode with Gen. John Hunt Morgan. He and many of his unit was captured at the battle of Buffington Island July 19, 1863, released form POW Camp Douglas, Ill in Feb of 1865. Hewas my gr gr grandfather, the father of the mother of my maternal grandfather Lester Samuel Rodgers.

Julius W. James is believed to be my GGGrandfather and it is said that he served with the 5th Kentucky Calvary Regiment in Company D as a Private. Would like to know if he died in battle or how?

Ephriam Cotton is my great-grand father. He is my mothers (Ruby L.( Thomas), Horne, Leslie) grand-father. We are still trying to locate his burial place. The last account we have on him was while he was a prisoner at Point lookout, Maryland. He was released from the prison on taking the oath of allegiance,6/24/1865. His wife Charlotte Lottie (Roberts) Cotton is buried at Willow Dale Cemetery, Goldsboro,North Carolina. There is no marker for Ephriam at this site
