29th Maine Infantry

According to the history of Greene ME. David Richard Parker of Greene ME was in the 29th regiment and died in Tyler Texas in 1864. I presume this would be at Ford Prison Camp but there are no further details about his death. I do not find him on the prison roster however.

Deserted on 19 September 1864(possible captured or injured in Battle of Opequan?) Returned on 20 December 1864 Mustered out Company B, 29th Infantry Regiment Maine on 21 June 1866

Buried at the Hillside Cemetary in Stoneham, ME, no information on headstone other than 29th Maine Company B. No dates.

Cyrus B. Smith mustered on 07 Jan. 1864 at the age of 19 to Co E 29th Infantry Regiment Maine. At 19, he died of disease in Brashear, LA. March 03, 1864. He originally enlisted into Co. A 28th Infantry regiment Maine along with his brother Ruben. They both served in the La. campaigns. If any one has any information, please let me know. Thanks

Mustered in Company H, 16 Dec 1863 and tranferred to Compnay K in 1864. Died of disease May 27, 1865. Place of burial unknown. His brother was Sylvanus who was killed at Fredersburg in 1862. From Salem, Maine.
