Enlisted Sept 1861, at Granville, NY, in 6th New York Infantry, later moved to 6th Calvary,Co D, taken prisoner and spent 18 months in Andersonville, escaped , listed as deserted. When he applied for a pention in 1895 he was made aware of his status and got it corrected to a 'mustered out' date of June 5, 1865.

He mustered out of that unit at Louisville Kentucky on Aug. 9, 1865. He married my 2nd great grand aunt in Dec. 1865 in Cecil County, MD. Henry died in New London, Chester Co., PA in 1914.
