90th Ohio Infantry

Mahlon Harps was the brother of my great grandmother He is buried in Forest Rose Cemetery Lancaster, Ohio

Joshua R. Martin was born in 1840, in Harlem Springs, OH, to George and Esther (Jolly) Martin. He joined the 90th Ohio Infantry, Co. B as a Private and was promoted to Sergeant. At the end of 1862, he transferred to the 4th US Cavalry. He mustered out in San Antonio, TX in 1865. Later, he made his home in Parker County, TX. And he later moved to Handley, TX. He died in 1912.

Enlisted as a Private on 6 August 1862 at the age of 22. Mustered in Company C, 90th Infantry Regiment Ohio on 26 August 1862. Died of disease on 29 July 1863 at Decherd, TN. Buried at Stones River National Battlefield.

Entered service Aug. 4, 1862. Died Feb. 14, 1863 at Jeffersonville, Fayette County, OH.

Taken prisoner at Rock Castle River; exchanged in March 1863.Discharged March 21, 1865 on certificate of disability.

Capt. George Rush Crow enlisted in 90th Infantry Reg. Ohio Volunteers on July 22 in Pickaway Co, Ohio. He was promoted to Full Captain in the engineers as a Topographical Engineer. He mustered out on 13 June 1865 in Camp Harker TN. His website is http://grcrowfamily.com
