MY 2ND GREAT GRANDFATHER,died at Danville,Va,Oct 17,1862.Would like to know where he is buried.

Name also spelled as 'Bradbury' on some records. Enlisted in Pgh., in 1862 and served the duration of war until muster out in 1865. Worked in Anschutz-Bradberry Stove Co. in Pgh. until his retirement in 1899 from the board. Married Martha Walkenshaw.

This is my great grandfather.

Enlisted on September 1, 1862 as a Private in Company C,Wounded at Gettysburg, Pa., July 2, 1863; transferred to Veteran Reserve Corps, February 11, 1864; discharged by General Order, July 3, 1865.

Wounded at Spottsylvania Courthouse and again at Petersburg. His brother, John Aber was in 63d PVI and wounded just days before he was at Wilderness.

Phillip Forney was my 2nd great grandfather. He enlisted in Co. D, 139th PA Infantry Regiment on Sept. 1, 1862. Wounded in the left leg at Spotsylvania Court House, VA on May 12, 1864. Mustered out with his company on June 21, 1865. Married Anna M. Woltz 1866. Died in Newville, Cumberland County PA in 1915.

Joined for duty on August 12, 1862 at Allegheny City, PA (now the North Side of Pittsburgh). Mustered in September 1, 1862. Died November 22, 1862 at Findlay Hospital in Washington, D.C. of Typhoid Fever. His brother, John Armstrong George, fought with the 123rd PA.

John was my Great Grand Uncle. He was killed on May 12, 1864, at Spotsylvania Court House & is buried in Fredericksburg National Cemetery. I have 8 letters from him to my Great Grandfather who was too young to serve or I might not be here. John's brother Wilson was killed in the Battle of Seven Pines May 31, 1862 while in the 23rd PA. His brother Thomas was in the 116th PA and was shot in the thigh with a miniball during the battle at Cold Harbor. I have pictures of all 3 alive and of their gravestones.

John was my second great grandfather. He enlisted into Co. D as a private on September 1, 1862. John was promoted to Corporal on January 16, 1863 and officially to Sergeant on March 20, 1865. He survived the war, mustering out with the regiment on June 21, 1865 and lived in Harmarville, PA until his death. Note: older brother, Andrew served in the 63rd Pa. Younger brother, Henry served in the 83rd Pa.

My great grandfather, he was wounded at Salem Heights May 3,1863, and at Spottsylvania C.H. May 12, 1864. He enlisted on 1 Sept. 1862. Mustered Out Company E 139th Infantry Regiment Pennsylvania on 21 June 1865 at Washington D.C. Parents were: Jacob Freetly and Fannie McKee (Boggs)Freetly of Apollo,Armstrong county, PA. Wife, Thala C. Freetly, child, my grandfather David R. Freetly.

Cpl Samuel A. Gray was my Great Grandfather.

Paul Wilmot is my 3rd great grandfather , he musterd in 9/1/1862 , captured at Salem Heights Virginia May 5th 1863 musterd out 6/21/1865

my great great grandfather served with co g 139th pa inf. he enlisted sep 1 1862, was discharged at washington dc june 21 1865. wounded may 12 1864 spotsylvania ch va. he is listed on the roles as bills f cook. he was illiterate so probably that is why there is an error with his name.

Highest rank was Lt. Adjutant in 139th PVI.
