Robert Irick was the son of Solomon Irick Sr. and Alcey Keeling Sandlin. He was born 25 Feburary, 1836 in Knox County Tennessee. He died 28 Jan 1864 and is buried in Carr Cemetery, Union County Tennessee.

Marcus Fritz Jerrolds Residence was not listed; 37 years old Enlisted on 8/15/1862 as a Asst Surgeon. On 2/17/1863 he was commissioned into Field & Staff TN 2nd Cavalry He was Mustered Out on 7/6/1865 at Nashville, TN Alternate Name Marcus F./Jerlds

Solomon Irick Jr. was the son of Solomon Irick Sr. and the brother of Robert Martin Irick. He enlisted in the Army 1 August 1862 in Jacksboro, Campbell Co. TN, and was discharged on 19 Mar 1864. At the time of his enlistment Solomon was the father of six children. Upon leaving the Army he moved his family to Fannin County Texas where he engaged in the practice of medicine. Solomon Irick Jr. died 22 Nov 1916 in Hughes Co. Oklahoma. He is buried in Wetumka Cemetery, Wetumka, Hughes Co. Oklahoma. Solomon applied for a invalid pension 11 June 1870, after having been shot in the shoulder at some point during the war.

Gr,grandson of Thomas Land & Eleanor McClanahan ( my 6x gr grandparents.) Apparently deserted Co.C, Walker's Battn, Thomas' N.C. Legion shortly after joining on 9-29-62 in Blount Co. Tn. 2nd Lt. Joseph C. Gray of Co.F, 2nd Tn.was his cousin. Pvt. Rufus Land of Co.H was his nephew. Enlisted: Oct 10,1862, Age:34. Mustered: Jan 26 63,Died Feb 12,1863 possibly from wounds received on January 31, 1863,when Colonel Robert G. Minty commanding the 3rd Cavalry Brigade, composed of the 4th U.S., 400 men, 2nd Tennessee, 200 men, and 3rd Tennessee 40 men attacked Rebels at Middleton. On that date, the 2nd Tennessee captured Major DeWitt C. Douglass, one captain, one lieutenant and 41 men from Douglass' Battalion, Confederate Cavalry.

John Fox was born in Sevier County, Tennessee in 1835 to Cornelius Fox and Evalina Mungal Fox. In 1859, he married Sarah Ellender Moore in Sevier County. They were in Lincoln Co TN in 1870 and moved to Newton County, Arkansas before 1880. John Fox is buried in the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

My great grandfather, John Lemon Moore born 15 Nov 1809 in Carter Co TN, was a commissary Sergeant in the 2nd Regiment Tennessee Volunteer Calvary Co 'L'. His son William D. Moore born 17 Jul 1843 in Blount Co TN was a Private then Corporal. His son, George Washington Moore born 01 Mar 1847 in Blount Co TN was a Private. They were in the same company as their father. Both sons were killed probably in Nov 1864. No record of where or when or burial site. John L. and William D. both enlisted at Maryville, Blount Co TN on 08 Sep 1863. George W. possibly in Jun 1864, replacing his father, who later returned to duty. Would like any information on the sons. And the parents of John L. Moore if it is listed in their files. William D. Moore born 17 Jul 1843, Blount Co TN enlisted with his father John Lemon Moore on 08 Sep 1863 at Maryville, Blount Co TN. He was killed about Nov 1864, place, time and burial unknown. He was a brother of my grandmother Artie Moore. Any help is appreciated. Russell E. Cable
