Born 18 Feb 1836. Wounded during an engagement with Federal forces, 4 miles south of Pulaski, Tennessee 27 Sept 1864. Died of his wounds in Artesia, Lowndes Co., Mississippi 17 Dec 1864.

Born 21 Feb 1847. Enlisted 1 July 1864. Mortally wounded 24 Sept 1864. Died in Athens, Limestone Co., Alabama 28 Sept 1864. 17 years of age.

Richmond enlisted In Henry Co. Tenn on 15 Sept. 1863. He was an 18 year old farmer. Enlisted for 3 years by Col Greer. His Sorrel house is valued at $300. Co B 20th Tenn Cav. Richmond died of fever at Prairie Station, Mississippi on 19 June 1864. His Horse, Bridle and saddle are valued at $30. Deo Vindice

Nathan was born 23 Nov 1927 in Huntingdon, Carroll Co. Tenn. He has 11 cards in his archival file. He was enlisted by Col Grier on 15 Sept. 1863 for 3 years. His Bay Horse was valued at $800. He was attached to Lt. Gen Nathan Bedford Forrest's Corps of Calvary as and Engineer. He was engaged in some 30 battles and was slightly wounded in the action around Meridian, Miss. on Feb 20 - 22nd 1864. He surrendered at Citronelle, Alabama on 4 May 1865 and paroled at Gainsville, Ala. on 10 May 1865. He was the husband of my 1st cousin 4 x removed. He is buried beside his wife at Mount Olivet Cem. Mckenzie, Carroll Co. Tenn.

My 2nd cousin six times removed. Enlisted August 1 1863 at age sixteen. Captured, Pow paroled May 31 1865 at Memphis Tennessee.

1831-1901

William was born in 1846 in Henry County,Tennessee. At 17 he joined [ according to his obituary ] Co. E Capt. Love's Company 20th Regiment , Buford's Division of Forrest's Cavalry. He fought thruout the war. Near the close of the conflict while a member of Bell's Brigade he was wounded in an engagement at Carmelsville, near Columbia and returned home. This unit was also known as the 22nd [Nixson's] consolidated. Organized in Spring of 1864 and consolidated Mardh 1865 with 14th [Neely's] 15th [ Stewart's] and 21st [ N.W. Carter's]. It was paroled at Gainsville, Alabama, May 1865.
