4th US Infantry

Records that I have been able to find on-line show that Private Thomas Bowdren also served with the 6th Infantry Regiment later in the War. 105 years later my brother, Cpl. James I Bowdren, was killed in action serving with the 6th Infantry Regiment, 198th Light Infantry Brigade, in Vietnam.

Allen enlisted in the 4th US Infantry, Company I., and was stationed at Jonesboro, TN.

He was wounded at Antietam, and served in the West before the Civil War.
