I received this information from my GrandMother. Lyman Perry was her Grandfather. He was honorably discharged Oct 7 1863 by reason of a Medical Discharge. Service 2y 3 month.

E.He is listed along with his brother, John on a monument dedicated to all of the soldiers killed who were from Van Buren Co. Iowa
