John Jackson was a private at the end of the war. Wounded near Washington D.C. July 12 1864. Surrendered with Lee at Appamattox April 9 1865. Oldest brother Joshua Jackson also served in Company B and was killed at McDowell, Virginia May 8 1862.

Abel and his brothers William and Thomas were all captured at Spotsylvania Courthouse and sent to Point Lookout POW Camp, and then Elmira. William died at Elmira and is buried in the cemetery there.

Thomas Jefferson James - Private   
Thomas Jefferson James was born in June 1846 in Jones County, Georgia. He enlisted with Co. B, 12th Georgia -- his brothers' unit -- on 3 June 1863, just in time to deploy for the Battle of Gettysburg. He and his brothers William and Abel fought in their units' numerous battles until 10 May 1865 when they were all captured at the Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse. Their unit, part of Doles' Brigade, were overwhelmed by Upton's charge at the western side of the Mule Shoe. They were taken prisoner and sent to Point Lookout POW Camp, and then Elmira. William died at Elmira and is buried in the cemetery there. According to Thomas' daughter, Annie May Carson, Thomas had attempted an escape by digging out with a spoon. He was recaptured and not released until the end of the war.

William J James - Private   
William J James, from Jones County, Georgia, was born in 1842. He enlisted on 6 Sep 1861 and saw action in numerous battles with his brothers Thomas Jefferson James and Abel James. All three brothers were captured at the Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse along with others from Doles Brigade who were overwhelmed by Upton's assault on the western side of the Mule Shoe. The three brothers were initially sent to Point Lookout, Maryland, and then transferred to the notorious POW camp in Elmira, New York. William died of illness there and is buried in the National Cemetery there.

Thomas D. A. Phillips - Private   
Thomas D. A. Phillips was given several assignments such as Ewell''s Pioneer Corps, and was at Charlottesville, Virginia making shoes at the time of Lee''s surrender. He was present with his regiment at most all the major battles in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. According to his widow''s sponsor on her application for a Confederate Widow''s Pension, ''He was a true and brave soldier.'' He married and named his first born Thomas Jackson Phillips.

John A. Curry he married Mary Hattaway in Washington co GA 4-14-1844 he joined the CSA on 3-1-1863 in Company E, Evans Brigade. was captured in July 1864 at Leesburg, Loudoun County, Virginia after he fell behind his company, too ill to continue. He died as a prisoner of war in August 11 1864.. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery near the Confederate Memorial (Sect. 16, Grave 55).

Asa is my great-great grandfather. He was a private and Company G's Chaplain. He was wounded on Dec. 13, 1861 at the Battle of Allegheny Mountain in WVA. He became a minister in Eatonton GA after the war and lived until 1914. He is buried in Harmony Baptist church Cemetery in Eatonton.

Pvt. John Harrison Dampier enlisted in the 50th Georgia Regiment Infantry Co. D, known as 'Valdosta Guards,' on March 4, 1862. He was transferred to Co. I, 12th Regt. Georgia Infantry in 1863.
