Lemuel L. Mullen - Private   
My great-grandfather enlisted on May 21, 1864 at age 17+. Spent most of his year in the Union Army in Company A, 13th Kansas. In June 1865 Lemuel transferred to Company B, 1st Kansas Veteran Battalion. and promoted to Corporal a few days later. Discharged on Aug 30 1865 at Little Rock, Arkansas.

My two times great grandfather joined the 13 Kansas Infantry on September 10, 1862, at Camp Stanton in Atchison, Kansas. It mustered in on September 20, 1862. His eldest son William H. Myers also joined at the same time. Robert Winston Myers was disabled March 1863 due to illness.

This soldier is No. 35 on the list found at http://www.kansasmemory.org/item/227790/page/11. His pension number was 27758. He enlisted on 25 August 1862 in Troy, Kansas, and was mustered out and honorably discharged in Little Rock, Arkansas, on 26 June 1865. I have a picture of him and additional documentation. He was in fact from Maryville, Missouri, but had to go to Kansas to join a Union outfit.

John Burns - Private   
John Burns(Burnes) enlisted in the Union Army at age 35 on September 9,1862 joining 'Company K' 13th Regiment Kansas , Infrantry. John Burns was wounded (bullet in back) on December 7, 1862 at the battle of Prairie Grove in Arkansas (W-SW of Fayetteville; North of Fort Smith). A Civil War Memorial Park
marks the battle location. Pvt. Burns was hospitalized about six months in Fayetteville before rejoining Company 'K'. He was mustered out of service on June 26, 1865.
