- 2nd Corporal
Enlisted on 8 Oct 1861 at Bowling Green, KY in Co. A, 6th KY Mounted Infantry Regiment. Appointed 2nd Corporal upon organization of the unit. Participated at Vicksburg, Stones River, Jackson, Chickamauga, Rocky Face Ridge, Resaca, and Dallas, GA. Wounded in the shoulder at Dallas, GA but rejoined the unit at Green's Cut, GA and was with the dismounted detachment until it's surrender at Washington, GA on 6 May 1865. Following the war in 1868 he was appointed Marshal of Springfield, KY an office he held for a number of years. In 1880 he was elected as Washington County, KY Treasurer and reelected for a number of terms. Died in Cincinnatti, OH while visiting his son on 29 Nov 1913. Buried at St. Dominic Cemetery in Springfield, KY.

Resaca, and Dallas; from Dallas to Atlanta; at Peachtree, Intrenchment,
and Utoy Creeks; both days at Jonesboro (captured and exchanged), and in
the mounted engagements.

Nov. 3, 1862 ; fought at Shiloh, and was dangerously wounded,
April 7, 1862; at Stone River and Jackson. Died of disease at
La Grange, Ga., April 17, 1864. The 1st cousin of my GGGrandfather-my GGGrandfather named his youngest son (my GGrandfather) after him.

Enlisted 1861 at Cave City, KY. Born in Barren County. Wounded at Baton Rouge badly. Returned and came back to the fight. Surrended to Sherman in 1865. Rode his horse back to Barren County. Where he was stopped by union troops. His horse was stolen and he walked the rest of the way home. He died in Barren County in 1923. His widow received a check for the horse after his death.
