53rd Massachusetts Infantry

Charles was born in Clinton ME on 12 Apr 1839 the son of Green H Bagley and Hanna True he enlisted 27 Aug 1862, mustered 18 Oct 1862, mustered out 2 Sept 1863. He died 11 Jan 1873 in Charlestown MA.and is buried there. He married Mary Ann Leahy in Fitchburg MA. They had three daughters, Anna Melissa, Margaret Cecelia and Mary Catherine

Was my GGGGrandfather. Wounded at seige of Port Hudson (Shot through shoulder)

enlisted September of 1862 for 9 months (the 53rd was a 9 month Regiment). Died at New Orleans, Louisiana in April 1863 of disease.

Edwin Wright born Templeton, MA 1846; died 14 May 1863 Brashear City, LA. Enlisted 12 Sept 1862, mustered 17 Oct 1862.
