This is my father-in-laws Grandfather.

We have a photo of the regiment with a riverboat in background. He served with his dog 'Jack.' We have discharge papers for the dog. Does anyone have any photos of this regiment and company?

Andrew Utz (Uttz) - Private   
Andrew Uttz (Utz) died in 1915 at the old soldier's home in Levnworth, KS. Middle son of John & Nancy Utz (Ohio)

Andrew lived in Fort Worth, TX after the war. He was father of Frank (my grandfather) & William Uttz. Some records show Andrew buried in Fort Worth. His grave however is at Levenworth.

Jonathan Leatherman Hootman - Private   
Jonathan died of wounds received at the Battle of Chickasaw Bay and of dysentery. He was on a river boat from Vicksburg, MS and died 20 miles from Cairo, IL where his body was taken ashore and buried.
