Discharged Jan. 20 1863 at Shelbyville TN. for being under-age. Died Sept. 11 1914 in Crockett County TN. His widow Katherine Lucretia Henderson Reasons received a widow's pension for his service.

Israel Taylor - Private |
Israel was born in SC. When he was 13 years old, his father died. He and his brother Noah went to live with their sister, Isabella Taylor Hawkins in Dyersburg, TN. Israel, along with Noah and their brother in law, Simeon Peter Hawkins, enlisted in the 47th. He died in the War in 1863 and is buried in an unmarked grave in TN, leaving behind his widow Frances and two young sons, Fletcher and Austin.

Noah, along with his brother Israel and brother in law, Simeon Peter Hawkins, enlisted in the 47th. Israel and Simeon both died in the War. Noah apparently went AWOL and moved to FL where other members of his family and moved from SC.

William enlisted along with his brother James H. at Troy Tn. Nov. 28 1861. He saw action at Shiloh on April 7th and was with the reg't at Richmond Ky and Murfreesboro Tn. where he was wounded in the arm by a minnie ball and in the left breast by artillery shrapnel. He was invalided out of the army, and returned to Harris Station in Obion Co. In 1905 he applied for and was granted a Confederate Soldier's Pension from Tennessee.

Andrew Jackson Collinsworth - Private |
At the age of seventeen, Andrew J. Collinsworth entered the army, joining Capt. Jesse L. Branch's company and then the Forty-seventh Tennessee Regiment, at Trenton, Tennessee commanded by Col. M.R. Hill. He served in the war with the distinction of being one of the bravest boys and hardest fighters in the service. He was severely wounded in what was known as the hardest picket fight during the war at Corinth, Miss., by a minie ball, which shattered his leg, and from which he was never fully recovered.
