1. Edward Kuser was in the 12th Virginia Calvary Co. E. I have his roster records, POW release form, and 1909 Civil War pension form. The 12th Calvary has a memorial in downtown Front Royal, VA.

Edward's CO James Marshall and fellow soldier, Allen Bowen were at Brandy Station because they left their names on the wall. James Marshall is listed in Edward's Civil War pension application as his CO.

His eldest brother, Private Emanuel J Fadely was born in Shenandoah County, Virginia circa 1839, enlisted in the 136th Virginia Militia Regiment, and died in 1861, exact details unknown.

His older brother Lemuel S Fadely enlisted in Co K of the 33rd Virginia Infantry Regiment and was Killed In Action during 1st Bull Run/Manassas, Prince William County, Virginia.

Born 04/07/1842 in Warren Co. Virginia to John Bushrod Rust (b. 09/21/1811 in Rock Hill, Old Frederick Co. Virginia) and Nancy McAfee. Henry Clay Rust, definitely died during the Civil War. One account says he was mortally wounded near home. He was carried home, where he died in the living room. 25 Nov 1862. Buried Front Royal, Virginia. -----
