J.G. Joiner, Nephew of Jesse G. Joiner. Please dont confuse these two men as the same person. J.G. enlisted on the same date as Jesse G. Sep 10th 1861. they both served for the duration of the war.

Jesse G. Joiner. Served from 1861, to the end of the war. Jesse G. was wounded in the leg in Olustee, FL., and was present in every battel CO.A. was involved in. Jesse G. Joiner IS my Great-Great-Great-Grandfather.

William J. Jones (1827-1881)enlisted in Tennille, Georgia on March 12th,1862. He was a private in the 'Irwin Volunteers' of Washington County,Georgia. Medical records state he entered Chimborazo Hospital in Richmond,Virginia in June 1862 for treatment of a thigh injury. William received a medical discharge from Confederate service in September 1862 and returned to Georgia.

My GGGgrandfather was a Private Co A,28 Reg't Infantry Ga Enlisted Sept 10 1861-Camp Stephens,Griffin,Ga by Major Calhoun.He died Sept 17 1862 in a hospital near Richmond Va of disease -trying to find records of where he is buried.

I have no other information on this person.

William O. Hale and his son John J. Hale enlisted in 1861 in Washington, Ga. with Co B John was killed in 1862 in Virginia. William O. surrendered in Goldsboro, N.C. in 1865. He later moved to Emanuel, County ga. He is listed in Midville, Burke, county ga in the 1870 census(although he lived in emanuel county. I believe he died in 1870 or 1871. HIs father, Eliphalet Hale, moved from Newberry, Mass to warrenton, ga. in 1813.William was born there in 1820. I am trying to locate his grave or any other information. I

Angus Alexander (Pvt. A.A.) Morrison was my GGgrandfather, enlisted in 1862, wounded at Battle of Bentonville in March 1865.

Enlisted March 4,1862 at Greenville, GA. June 3,1862 admitted to Chimborazo Hospital #4 in Richmond, VA. Died June 28,1862 from Typhoid Fever and is buried in a numbered grave in Oakwood Cemetery in Richmond,Va. He died the same month his youngest daughter, Virginia was born. Virginia was my Great Grandmother.

Died from dysentery and pneumonia while in CSA General Hospital, Richmond, Virginia

July 22, 1861. Discharged from Chimborazo Hospital #4, at Richmond, Virginia, August 7, 1862. Died August 1862.

Enlisting on September 14, 1863, joining Company G, 28 Battalion, Georgia Siege Artillery, Maj A. Bonaud (Bonauds Battalion), under the command of Capt. John D. Godwin. Died in Camp Beauregard, Lake City FL Feb 1864 near the on-set of the Battle of Ocean Pond / Battle of Olustee. The enlistment description states: Height: 5' 9' tall Hair: Black Eyes: Dark Complexion: Fair Died of disease

Enlisted 12 Aug 1861. Was captured Nov 17, 1864 & held as a POW until June 19, 1865, when he took the oath of allegiance & was released at Point Lookout, MD He was aka Jerry Saylors, J J Sailor. Lived at TN Confederate Soldiers Home for the last few years of his life while on pension for his war efforts. Died 1919 & buried in the cemetery which is on the same property as the home. Name was different on the headstone than the death cert. His family lived in Resaca, Gordon County, GA

He died 6/13/1862 in Virginia (Richmond) of his battle wounds. He was originally buried in Virginia, and after the Civil War, he was moved to the Hart Family Cemetery, Georgia (Washington County).

Daniel was killed by a Yankee sharpshooter in a battle around Richmond in 1864. The story is he and his brother John Malcolm were crouched in a trench. Daniel kept standing up to shoot even though John told him he would be killed. His spoke his last words, 'I want to get one more damn yankee', then he was shot and killed. He is buried in the Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, VA.

Fought with his brothers, Daniel and Wiley.
