1842-1884. Discharged for disability April 1862.

1840-1861. Joined in August 1861 at Alton, IL with his brother George and bros-in-law John Watson. Died of consumption at Mound City, IL Nov 26, 1861. Buried in Rosedale Cemetery, Jersey Co., IL.

1850-1873c. Somehow managed to join up at the end of the war. His uncle John Watson was in this unit. He is buried at Hartford Cemetery near Grafton, Illinois, but his tombstone is severely weathered.

1839-1869c. Born Chillicothe, OH. After the war he married Sarah Jane Hughes (1844-1866). He died leaving an orphan daughter Josephine Smith before the 1870 Census.

1838-1917 Jersey County, IL (near Grafton, listed as Alton in Muster Roll). Enlisted with his Bros-in-law, George and William Hughes.

Enlisted as a Private on 18 April 1861. Mustered in Company F, 10th Infantry Regiment Illinois on 29 April 1861. Mustered out on 29 July 1861 at Cairo, IL.

Seeking more info on David Hogue Buck b. abt 1825 in Clark Co Illinois died in Nashville Tn. abt, 1861 or 1862. I want to know what battles he fought in and if possble where he is burried. Thanks, Stephanie

John and his brother James served together in the 10th. I have their diaries and letters from their father in Scotland. Another brother William joined but died before deployment.

Fayette Lacey is my great grandfather. He enlisted under the first call in Co. K, 10th IL, in April, 1861; re-enlisted August 19, 1861, in Co. B, 37th IL, and enlisted again for three years, February 19, 1863 in Co. I, 151st IL. In June 1861 he was detailed as Warden in hospital in Cairo, IL. He was appointed Sergeant Major of his regiment in Spring 1861; participated in the Battle of Pea Ridge, AR, 1862, the Battle of Prairie Grove, AR, 1862 and the Siege of Vicksburg, MS, 1863 and other engagements. He died January 10, 1899 in Tonowanda, Erie, NY. He is buried in City Cemetery, Tonawanda, Erie, NY. His name appears on a Civil War Monument in Plainsfield, IL - on the Illinois Memorial, Vicksburg National Military Park, IL - and on the Tonawanda Civil War Memorial in City Cemetery, Tonawanda, NY.
