146th Illinois Infantry

Following his disability discharge in May of 1864 from the 45th Illinois Infantry, Samuel Vanston enlisted in the 146th Illinois Infantry, Co., B on August 29, 1864. He served for the remainder of the war with this unit and was mustered out on July 8, 1865.

Henry B. (or, 'H.B.') Butler resided in Trenton, (now DePue), IL. He is buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Bureau, IL
