Robert was born in South Carolina. He has 7 cards in his archival file. All of his cards deal with his capture and movement thru the system except for his cover card. No date of enlistment. He is found in 1860 in Morgan County, Alabama. He was captured at Munagala, Morgan County, Ala 28 Dec 1864. Sent to Military Prison at Louisville, Ky. and on to Camp Chase, Franklin Co. Ohio arriving 18 Jan 1865 where he died of exposure/ Pneumonia 30 Jan 1865.
His wife filed for pension from Robertson County, Tenn. Application # W211.
He was the father-in-law of my 4th cousin 3 x removed. He remains in that northern hell hole in grave # 965 at Camp Chase.
