He was my great-great grandfather, and was entered into the cavalry and appointed company blacksmith by Colonel John Tyler Morgan, in Aug 1862. He was later captured near Lynnville, TN, in Sept 1864, incarcerated at Camp Chase, OH, until June of 1865.
