My great-great grandfather was born in St. Augustine, FL. I''d like to have any contact with fellow Papy/Pappy descendants !

My great grandfather enlisted in the 105 Ohio inf. He was later transfered to the Pioneer Corps. He accepted a discharge and reenlisted in ther 1st. Unioter State Volunteer Engineers. He was discharged in 1865.

Musterd in July 1861@ Brooksville, F, mustered out Apr 26,1865@Camp Church,? Florida. He was born 1833 in Tattnall Co., Ga and died May 13, 1880 in Hernando Co, Fl. and is buried at Stage Pond Cemetery near Inverness, Florida in unmarked grave.

John Mack was born in Thomasville, Thomas County Georgia. He was 18 years old when he joined as a Pvt. Capt Bird's Company 3rd Florida Infantry. Joining at Monticello for 18 months on 15 May 1861. John served thru the war. He is sick in the hospital for several months while stationed in Tenn. He is a Hospital guard on 28 Feb. 1863. His last card is on 12 March 1863 when he was paid $44.00. He died on 21 August 1922, in Daytona Beach, Volusia Co. Florida

noted in SOLDIERS OF FLORIDA, this company was named 'cow boys' anyone know why??? he also served in the indian war of 1855

Commissioned as a 3rd Lieutenant on 11 May 1861 at the age of 20. Promoted to 2nd Lieutenant on 8 May 1862. Promoted to 1st Lieutenant on 13 August 1862. Resigned on 27 June 1863.

William enlisted in the 3rd Florida Infantry, Company F at Jaacksonville, Florida in 1861, and was Honorably Discharged at Greensborugh NC., in 1865.

Enlisted on 11 May 1861. Last on rolls on 18 October 1864.

Joseph Benjamin Bunting of Co G 3rd Fla Infantry was wounded in the arm and leg January 2, 1863, at Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He died 30 days later as a prison in a Union hospital.

Enlisted on July 23, 1861 in lake city, Florida. Captured at missionary ridge, Tennessee on November 25, 1863. Sent to Rock Island prison. Exchanged on February 15, 1865. Captured at Richmond on April 3, 1865. Sent to point lookout prison. Released on July 25, 1865.
