What were some battles that the 12th Infantry assisted with?Sam was born 1844 and died 1911, he is buried in Pine Grove Church Cementary, Clinton County, Kentucky. He named his son Sherman Ulysses Anderson after the famous Union generals. Did the 12th serve with either general?

Born in Virginia in 1837. Moved to Clinton Co. in the mid 1850's with the Boohers of Sullivan Co. TN. while his parents and siblings remained in Virginia. Enlisted as a Private 3 OCT 1861 at Camp Hopkins, Clinton Co. KY. while his older brother enlisted in Floyd Co. VA in the Virginia 42nd Reg. (CSA). Pvt. Thomas P. Taylor was mustered out on disability March 16, 1863. He died mysteriously 8 years later on April 7, 1871 while delivering the mail to Creelsboro. He left behind a pregnant wife and 6 young children at the age of 34. He was buried in Hopkins Cemetery, Albany, Clinton County, Kentucky.

My Great Grandfather is buried at Bethleham Cemetery in Patesville, KY.

Enlisted 20 Feb 1863 at Liberty, Kentucky as a private in Company F of the 12th Kentucky Infantry Union Army. Honorably discharged Feb 1864 due to physical condition caused by exposure to severe weather conditions. He was posted near Knoxville, Tennessee at the time. Isaac was born 10 May 1815 in White County, Tennessee the son of Kate Hill, and died 6 Oct 1894 in Wayne County, Kentucky. Isaac married Eliza Jane Coyle. He is buried at Dishman Cemetery in Slickford, Wayne County, Kentucky

Family history claims he served three years and four months, under General Sherman. I need proof.

Enlisted 3 Oct 1861 at Camp Hoskins in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Gave age as 19 years. Pearson died of disease on 12 Dec 1862 at Number 8 General Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He was 16 years old. Pearson is buried at Nashville National Cemetery Nashville Davidson County Tennessee, USA Plot: , B.5733. He was born in Wayne County, Kentucky, the son of Margaret Overton and never married.

Jasper enrolled in the Union Army at Strawberry Plains, Tennessee on September 9, 1863. He was mustered into service February 12, 1864 as a private, Company H, 12th Regiment, Kentucky Infantry. He was honorably discharged as a private on July 11, 1865 at Greensboro, North Carolina. In late 1860s he moved his family to Obion County, Tennessee. He died in Hornbeak, Obion County, Tennesee on June 6, 1914 and is buried at Antioch Church in Hornbeak. Since he never learned to read or write, this last name has giving us fits in trying to locate him prior to 1863. When he enrolled apparently the enlisting officer spelled it the way it sounded, ''Worix''. In his military and medical records it is spelled Warex, Warax, Warrix, Wirax, Wrax, and Warix as a few examples.

Joined 10 November, 1861 and mustered in 30 Jan, 1862 at Camp Clio, Pulaski County, Ky. Honorably Discharged 3 Feb, 1865.
