Enlisted as a Private on 28 March 1864 at the age of 24. Captured at Petersburg, VA on 22 June 1864. Died of disease as a POW on 1 November 1864 at Florence, SC.

Enlisted in February 1864. He was captured at Spotsylvania Courthouse on May 12, 1864 and confined at Andersonville Prison. He survived Andersonville and the war but thus far I have been unable to find out what happened to him after the war. His mother, Mary, applied for his pension in 1868 so I assume that he died but have not confirmed this yet

Enlisted Newburyport. Mustered for combat 26 July 1861 as a Private, Company C., 19th Regiment, Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry. Killed in action (shot through the chest), 30 June 1862, during the battle of the White Oak Swamp (Glendale), Virginia (The Peninsula Campaign). His parents were George and Patty (Smart) Mace of Raymond, New Hampshire. Still searching for his grandparents.

Enlisted as a 2nd Lieutenant on 22 August 1861 at the age of 21. Commission in Company F, 19th Infantry Regiment Massachusetts on 28 August 1861. Promoted to Full 1st Lieutenant on 21 March 1862. Wounded at Fredericksburg, VA on 13 December 1862.

Last name appears as 'Paine' on some military records. My Great Great Great Grandfather.

Promoted to Full Captain (As of Co. H) on 5 April 1863. Commissioned on 1 May 1863. Wounded at Gettysburg, PA on 3 July 1863. Discharged for promotion on 9 November 1864.

Warren was captured during the Battle of St Petersburg, Va. on the Jerusalem Plank Road. I have visited his grave at Andersonville.
