Christopher Colvin Pruitt lived in Missouri for about 10 years before moving to Texas in 1845/46. He was living in Blanco County, Texas when he seemed to disappear in 1864, coincidentally the same year that the MO 42 Vol Inf Reg was organized. We believe that the he is the Christopher C Pruitt that enlisted in Macon, MO on 20 Sep 1864.
