Amos O. Brown served in the 58th Ohio Volunteer Infantry from Nov. 14, 1861 through Jan. 13, 1865. Amos was born and raised in Hocking County, Ohio and is buried at Mt. Tabor cemetery near Logan, Ohio. His specialty has been listed as 'musician' in the national archives.

George Washington Ruble was born on february 25, 1843 at Logan, Hocking County, Ohio. He enlisted at Logan, Ohio on January 2, 1862. He was mustered out at Vicksburg, Mississippi on September 16, 1865. George died on April 10, 1930 at Vergennes, Jackson County, Illinois.
