153rd Ohio Infantry

I have an original registered United States Volunteer Certificate for “100 days of Service“ in his name dated 15 December 1864, signed by Edwin M. Stanton, Secretary of War, and Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States.

He was captured at Hammock Mills, WV on 7-3-1864. He died in Andersonville Prison due to ill treatment and starvation. he enlisted in service 7-13-1863.

Captured 7-13-1864 in hammock Mills, WV. Held at Andersonville and survived. He is buried in national Cemtery. He enlisted in service 5-4-1864.
