He was my great-grandfather. He was a POW somewhere but I don''t yet know where; after he returned home he became proprietor of the hotel ''Pennsylvania Hall'' in Pottsville, PA. Due to pneumonia as a POW his lungs were weakened and he died at age 44. He is buried in the family lot #69 in Hummelstown Cemetery, Hummelstown, PA with his wife, the former Emma Walmer of Hummelstown, PA.
