Entered a Pvt. and Mustered out as a Sgt. Film # M392 roll15(Civil War Soldiers & sailors System Search: http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/Personz_Detail). Gallant was also in the 25 Tenn Company F Federal and in Company H, 1st TN Mtd Inf. also commanded by cousin Prettyman Jones. Both servered on both sides.

Abraham was married to Louisa Cox,grand-daughter of John Cox Sr.& Mary Jobe,my 4th gr grandparents in East Tenn. Her brother John R.served in the 37th Ky. Several of her cousins in Tn.were Confederate. Abraham was born 22 June,1837 in Tn. died 19 Dec.1909 in Ky.
