Born : unknown and died in Confederate Service, probably from disease around Sept. 1862. Married Mary Tyler Gilman ( my great , great Grandmother ) before the war. Enlisted May 31, 1862 in Co. A, 40th Battalion ' Henrico Mounted Guard ' under Capt. John Wren. Ranks swelled and had to be divided into Co. A & B, becoming 31st Battalion on 9/8/1862. He was listed as present for duty each muster roll until 9/23/1862, when it was stated that he died, giving no date or cause. Burial site unknown.
